My.VU , is it the new HDTV ?

yep it’s here, and i finally found it.

i know this is old news, BUT. does it perform as well as it was advertise. Don’t get me wrong this freaking thing just won an award for being the best eyewear for video up close. but i thought i just check if these claims were in fact true .

The model in here is the Solo Plus model,it retails for 199.95$ and it’s the low end model of the my-vu legacy. you can choose any other pro or standard model you like from their website.

i found this toy when i was shopping for a new iPhone earphones, and i spotted this on my way out. First impression wasn’t very satisfying, i got cross eyed for a while before i could get used to it. the quality of the video wasn’t as well as it was advertised but hay; it’s only the low end model right ?? :P

Never the less here is how it works;

There are two little lenses that you’re suppose to look through, both lenses point to a single little screen that is placed right in the middle of the eye wear. The screen doesn’t cover the wide angle of the human eyes, better yet, it feels like your watching a small old TV across the hall. It lacks any sense of fashion, better yet when you wear it it feels like the seventies again. On the other hand, the type of plastic used feels pretty sterdy and yet soft for the skin.

The technology seems to be inexpensive, having such a small screen with crappy resolution. plus, there is no logical explanation that i could find for this product to be so over priced.

As a conclusion, unless they come up with a better solution than the two lenses aiming down to one little screen, this bad looking boy won’t get any further, HD and wide angle speaking.

that’s my review on this model, but have in mind that this is only the low end model and the least ridiculous shaped one too ..  got the My.VU’s website for more details

Enjoy,
